It’s a cliché. The old “What’s your sign, baby?” It conjures up images of bad 70’s sitcoms of men with oversized collars wearing bellbottoms and platform shoes. But there is something to knowing someone’s sign. By knowing a guy’s sign, you can be on your way to finding Mr. Right through astrology love compatibility.
What are compatible astrology signs?
In astrology, people are born under 12 distinct sun signs. People born into a certain sun sign share some basic features in common.

- Aries: part of March 20th into April 20th
- Taurus: Part of April 20th into May 21st
- Gemini: Part of May 21st into June 21st
- Cancer: Part of June 21st into July 22nd
- Leo: Part of July 22nd into August 23rd
- Virgo: Part of August 23rd into September 23rd
- Libra: Part of September 23rd into October 23rd
- Scorpio: Part of October 23rd into November 22nd
- Sagittarius: Part of November 22nd into December 21st
- Capricorn: Part of December 21st into January 20th
- Aquarius: Part of Janaury 20th into February 19th
- Pisces: Part of February 19th into March 20th
For starters, to find Mr. Right, you are interested in which sign you would be most compatible. You can do this by figuring out the signs that complement each other.
How do you find out which signs complement each other?
Well, you figure out what natural element your sign falls under. You see, the twelve signs of the zodiac are further divided into four groups containing three signs each. These four groups are the elements of nature, Fire, Earth, Air and Water.
So, three of the signs belong to the Fire element and are called Fire signs. They are Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius. Fire signs are often characterized as active and enthusiastic people.
Three signs belong to the Earth element and are called Earth signs. They are Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn. Earth signs are often characterized as practical and stable.
The Air element contains the Air signs and these are Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius. These signs are known as great communicators and very intellectual.
The final three signs belong to the Water element. The Water signs are Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces. Water sign people are known to be emotional and intuitive.
You can start to find your astrology love compatibility by finding the element that blends well with your own.
If you are a Fire sign, a relationship with an Air sign will blend well. Fire needs oxygen to burn, and Air is warmed by Fire. See the correlation? Fire does not blend with Earth or Water. Think about what happens when you throw Earth or Water on Fire. It puts out the fire, right?
Similarly, Earth and Water Signs blend well together. The Earth needs Water to keep it moist so things can grow. Without water, the Earth becomes cracked and barren (think a desert).
